Meet the Scientist
Prevention of Depression
Dr. Michael Berk heads the IMPACT Strategic Research Centre at Deakin University and is also an Honorary Professorial Fellow at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health at Orygen’s National Centre of Excellence in Youth Mental Health in the Department of Psychiatry at Melbourne University in Australia. He also serves as a Visiting Professor at the Guiyang Medical University in China and an Honorary Professor in the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine at Monash University in Australia.
Dr. Michael Berk's major interests are in the discovery and implementation of novel therapies and risk factors and prevention of psychiatric disorders like depression.
