DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT

SENIOR MANAGER, EVENTS & DONOR RELATIONS
Position is Full-time
Resident of Tri-State Area (NY, NJ, CT)
Location: Currently remote with occasional NYC office visits


Job Summary:

Reporting to the Vice President, Development, BBRF’s Senior Manager, Events & Donor Relations is responsible for developing and producing Foundation fundraising events and programs. This includes overseeing activities which help increase BBRF awareness, revenue and new supporters through its Awards Dinner, Symposium, Webinars, Programs, Third Party Fundraisers, Sponsorships and Private Events. In addition, the Senior Manager will work with the VP, Development, on donor outreach.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead revenue-driven Events by managing the execution and implementation of fundraising and cultivation events and programs that engage prospects and donors
  • Collaborate with partners, sponsors, board members on event cultivation, direct and email list compilation, and distribution, debriefs and stewardship of donors and sponsors
  • Solicit and track sponsorship support from individuals and corporations
  • Contact donors after gifts are made to recognize their support of BBRF
  • Oversee Monthly Webinar series and Third-Party Event external fundraising through event and marketing assistance
  • Prepare event budgets, timelines, and coordinate event list management
  • Develop collateral including invitations, brochures, and signage, manage production of event direct and electronic mail and social media with Marketing & Communications
  • Function as liaison to internal departments regarding events and donor related activities
  • Serve as on-site Event point-person, manage vendors, provide competitive bids as needed for in-person and virtual programs
  • Prepare Event acknowledgement correspondence, webinar scripts, timelines run of shows, staffing assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience with solid experience developing and implementing non-profit fundraising events and programs as well as donor relations
  • Strong ability to take initiative on current and new projects, results-oriented, help increase brand awareness and engage constituents through cultivation and stewardship
  • Excellent management and interpersonal skills, professional, and confidence working with donors, board members, staff; conveys leadership and diplomatic skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, a team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, internet research, experience with Raiser’s Edge preferred

Salary range, based on experience: $70,000-$90,000
