Dr. Taylor is a neuroscientist and board-certified psychiatrist with expertise in brain stimulation and interventional psychiatry. He is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School and the Jonathan F. Borus, MD Endowed Chair in Psychiatry at Mass General Brigham (MGB). He also serves as Medical Director of TMS in the Center for Brain Circuit Therapeutics at MGB, Director of Noninvasive Neuromodulation Clinical Trials at MGB, Director of the Interventional Psychiatry Research Program at MGB, and Associate Program Director and Research Track Co-Director of the Psychiatry Residency Program at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Taylor’s research focuses on developing and testing brain circuit interventions for neuropsychiatric illness. His work identifies candidate treatment targets through connectome-based network mapping and tests these targets prospectively in clinical trials. Throughout his career, Dr. Taylor has received research funding from the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, the National Institutes of Health, the Sidney R. Baer, Jr. Foundation, the Baszucki Group, the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation, the Home Base Foundation, Harvard Medical School, and Mass General Brigham.
