Jennifer Barredo graduated with a BS in Psychology from the University of Washington in 2006 and a PhD in Neuroscience from Brown University in 2013. After completing her postdoctoral training at Brown University's Department of Neuroscience, Dr. Barredo joined the faculty of the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University’s Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior in 2017. She has been a member of the Providence VA Medical Center’s Center for Neurorestoration and Neurotechnology since 2015. She is the recipient of a NRSA predoctoral award, a VA Career Development Award (CDA2), and a NARSAD Young Investigator Award. Dr. Barredo’s current research uses neuroimaging and machine learning approaches to investigate structural and functional brain signatures of mental health disorders and suicidal ideation and behavior.
