NARSAD Young Investigator Grantee Pauline Belujon, Ph.D. presented the 2012 Gloria Neidorf Memorial Lecture at the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation New York City Mental Health Research Symposium in October, 2012. Dr. Belujon is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. Her lecture, The Effects of Ketamine on Dopamine and Depression, focused on the results of her research showing that Ketamine, when used on rats with depression, can be a novel treatment for affective disorders including depression.
The Gloria Neidorf Memorial Lecture is presented annually by a NARSAD Grantee. The late Gloria Neidorf struggled with and succumbed to bipolar disorder in 1989.
