It is very interesting how the brain and eyes help indiv. view and interact w those around them. The connection between neuroscience and cognition provides some insight into how differences become pathological. The right hemisphere is critical to socialization,as 40 to 60 percent of human behavior is non-verbal. Indiv.that don't have sufficient connective material in the right hemisphere(white matter) have challenges forming and processing non-verbal cues and are vulnerable to not forming social connections necessary for good mental health and emotional health. Psychiatry can provide some insight into how the biological model helps to create behavior. However, social interpretation and observation beyond clinical settings may be a part of solving the sometime mystery of recovery.
