Hike for Mental Health

Our aim is to increase public awareness of the challenges faced by those afflicted by mental illness and their families and to increase public appreciation for and responsible use of wilderness trails. Most of the funds raised go to the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation.

Team Daniel: Running to Support Schizophrenia Research

Date: Year-round
Location: Orlando, Fl and other cities
Team Daniel consists of members of the Laitman family including Dan who lives a productive life with schizophrenia and his parents, Rob and Ann. They run the Walt Disney World Half-Marathon every year as well as other races across the country in an effort to raise money for schizophrenia research.

Neil's Wheels

Location: Long Island and Metro-New York Area
Neil's Wheels of New York works to address the issues of the homeless community and the need for continued research into mental health issues in support of improved treatments and hopefully a cure. Neil's Wheels was started to teach families about mental illness and encourage young people to open up about their problems.
