Since 1988, the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation has awarded:

The NARSAD Distinguished Investigator Grant provides support for experienced investigators (full professor or equivalent) conducting neurobiological and behavioral research. A one-year grant of $100,000 is provided for established scientists pursuing innovative projects in diverse areas of neurobiological research. Areas of particular interest to the Scientific Council's Selection Committee include:
- Patient populations with unique or unusual characteristics
- Central nervous system developments
