Discoveries ›New Hope in Mental Health Research Series Kicks off in Houston, TX
On April 26, 2011, the Brain & Behavior Research Foundation kicked off the New Hope in Mental Health Research Series in the Lone Star State! The first event of its kind featured briefings with leading mental health research scientists in an informal round-table-type atmosphere. It gave participants an opportunity to meet and ask questions of the scientists. The event began in Houston, and continued in Austin, San Antonio and Dallas and each were hosted by Benita Shobe, Foundation President and CEO and J. Ken Harrison, member of the Board of Directors.
The Houston event took place at The Houstonian Hotel, Club and Spa and featured Foundation Scientific Council Member, Robert M.A. Hirschfeld, M.D. Here is a video interview with Dr. Hirschfeld at that event
